The first sunrise of the year shall be a moment of deep awakening.  The first glance of a new sun in a new year will remind us of how fortunate  we are to be given another chance. As we feel the warmth on our bodies and breath the new air, we shall feel how connected we are to our home, earth, and each other.   Expect a beautiful breakfast and holistic experiences. Mardeleva will provide the soundtrack for this very special 2020 sunrise.   

Collected proceeds will go directly to continuing our efforts in keeping Tulum sustainable and continuing to create a ripple effect felt way  beyond our shores.  This is what defines Mardeleva.  With your help, we will continue on our path.

Please join us as The Sacred Space Miami and Eduardo Castillo team up for a solo live transformative musical journey to kick-off Art Basel.

Eduardo Castillo’s music encompasses his depth in the study of the industry and influences stemming from a South American and European upbringing. His studies in music compositions, orchestration and opera provide him with a vast understanding of harmonies, dynamics and musical textures. Eduardo uses a subtle ethnomusicologist’s approach to music. His record collection reads like a music history book. In fact his eclecticism is quite enticing. Sounds of Jazz, Avant-Garde, Middle Eastern, South American, Afro-Cuban folk, Soul, Funk, and Electronic Minimalism, can be heard in his compositions, his singing, his dj sets, and his playing of instruments, whether in their pure from or intertwined with down, mid and up-tempo electronic treatments. Ultimately, simplicity is what Eduardo strives for. An effort is always made to have fresh, organic sound while inevitably providing touches of technological advances shaping music today, never overwhelming and always sophisticated and tasteful.

Eduardo's mission is to always become a storyteller from beginning to end. With every record he plays has a very important intention. The music in his selections does not just fill time, it weaves in and out with dynamic and texture. The music and his improvisational live shows are brush strokes on a canvas that once he's reached the end, will look like a world of realism and fantasy all in one. He's a master at layering the musical with the technical and the surreal with the real.

Using delicate, powerful and emotional soundscapes, Mardeleva moves us across a spectrum, guiding us from start to finish. It starts slow, a lingering note chosen as carefully as our words. Steadfast, like a meditation or trance, we sit in this space, deconstructing the inner workings of our mind. As the frequencies rise, we surf the waves of Mardeleva's current, connecting to a language at once new, yet hauntingly familiar. We place our trust on the pulse of the unknown, a seductive dance, a tantalizing improvisation. As it builds, limits dissolve and boundaries disappear. Together, we share a message. To change the world through sound and frequency. Where you exist on this spectrum is a journey all your own.

This very unique trio of music, souls and minds, is Eduardo Castillo's LIVE project. Eager to expand and build on his musical reach and scope, Eduardo, has brought these very talented friends and multi-instrumentalist musicians together to explore the potential of each of their own immense talents, only to realize, when playing and listening as a group, a very powerful force came alive.
